Efstathios Siatras
MSc Computational Statistics and Machine Learning at UCL

Hi! I’m Efstathios. I earned my Master’s degree in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning from University College London (UCL), where I completed my thesis at the UCL Deciding, Acting, and Reasoning with Knowledge (DARK) Lab, advised by Prof. Tim Rocktäschel.
I am broadly interested in machine learning and language, particularly in evaluation, reasoning, and oversight. My focus is on how language models are assessed, to what extent their linguistic capabilities resemble human understanding, and how we can improve their safety and robustness, including in multi-agent settings.
Previously, I was part of the AI Team and the Management of Data, Information & Knowledge (MaDgIK) Group of the University of Athens, advised by Prof. Manolis Koubarakis. During my time there, I developed a Greek question answering dataset to evaluate and improve QA models in Greek and multilingual settings.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). At that time, I also worked at Metis as a member of the data science and engineering team focused on the advancement of digital twins in the maritime industry.
